heres a situation were putting a discgolf course in a city park was definately an improvement to the park, and thats especially true in this park as from what i have been told it had fallen into disrepair and neglect and had been taken over by gangs and drug dealers, what the local discgolfers in cooperation with the park services have managed to do with this park is downright impressive ! this is my style of course, not to open, not to rediculasly long ( except those last few holes you guys put in, those are confidence crushers !! LOL ) and very well laid out with lots of elevation changes, right turning, left turning and straight fairways, you even managed to find some cool old park benches and positioned them around the course, which were nice for a rest as this course is definately a workout, this course reminds me alot of lincoln park course in massillon, which is my favorite course, i would give this course a perfect score if it had the teepads and a little more of the under grouth cut back some, mind you these arnt critcism as what you have done already in such a short time is awesome and comendable and as i also realize it is still a work in progress, im sure its just a matter of time before this course is at its full potential, it would be nice to see the city bring back the rest of the park to what it once was as well, like reopening the pool and maybe redeveloping the picknick areas, as this is one of the prettiest parks ive seen and definatley a place that the locals should be proud of, i am looking foward to coming back for more rounds - dc ( discfunctional chris )

This course was recently completed as far as baskets being put in. The tee signs are still being installed and will be completed soon. We had the good fortune of meeting BILL ROHREY and ED NOBLE, who designed the course and have done all the work with the help of a few others. They did a remarkable job of using and featuring existing structures and terrain. The course is in the woods of a ravine with a small creek running down the middle of it all. The creek has to be crossed numerous times, but the layout provides plenty of easy places to do so. The creek itself is on a fairly steep grade so the water should never be to deep for very long. There are plenty of uphill, downhill, across hill, and any other kind of hill shot imaginable, and they are all in the woods. The amount of work put into clearing trees, hauling gravel and just doing the layout is much appreciated and respected. Hopefully some locals from Stuebenville will get involved and take the load off the few so they to can enjoy this awesome course. I highly recommend this course for anyone that can handle hiking in the woods. Hiking boots and bug stuff are suggested because the course is a hike in the woods with wildlife and great scenery. Also bring a camera. There is a playground in the park and I believe
some portapotties.
